A few pictures over the years...

The journey began when I claimed God’s promise… Proverbs 16:3 "Commit your works to the Lord and He will establish your plans" and continues to this day. I vividly remember the day I claimed the verse among witnesses. I needed encouraging words to continue the professional path I had chosen, and I would need encouragement for all the days of my life. God has been my faithful companion through it all and I hold to the comforting words of Jeremiah... "The Lord's loving kindnesses indeed never cease, for His compassion never fails. They are new every morning. Great is Thy faithfulness."

Retired, I find myself continuing to hold to the promise … “commit my works and God establishes my plans”. My early interest in photography led me into the digital world of photography. Photography and gardening are natural companions. Photography, digital photography, and God’s Word launched the beginnings of “The Sweet Joys”.

With an album of pictures and the desire to create a way to share God’s promises, blessings, and faithfulness I created a “box of blessings”. Years later a bible study group created “Sweet Joys”. A collection of 24 individual cards featuring a prayer and a flower. The intent was to reach out and touch someone by sharing Christ’s love with a prayer. Through the years hundreds of prayer cards have blessed the receiver with God’s word of promise, encouragement, and blessing.

“The Sweet Joys” Note Cards are to bring a blessing to the giver and the receiver. I find joy to pursue my picture collections with faithful anticipation selecting a verse for a picture. As the days go by, I continue to add to the collection of note cards.
